Oriel Myrddin is recruiting an Engagement Manager to help lead its next phase of development. This role is responsible for all aspects of engagement, including marketing and communications, and works closely with the Creative Producer to embed learning into exhibitions and programmes.
The Engagement Manager at Oriel Myrddin leads public engagement and learning, helping people of all ages connect with contemporary art and creativity through events, workshops and outreach. This role reports to the Gallery Director and is responsible for public engagement and communications. It works closely with the Creative Producer to link exhibitions with learning and participation activities.
The role also supports audience growth and helps increase income across the gallery's services. As part of the CELF project, the Engagement Manager works with partners such as Amgueddfa Cymru and The National Library of Wales. This includes helping to plan programmes, access artworks, and report on how well the gallery is engaging with the public.
The role includes managing the Marketing and Participation Assistants and helping to plan their work. Together with the Director, Creative Producer and Visitor Services Manager, the Engagement Manager helps make sure the gallery meets professional standards and provides a safe, high-quality environment for artworks.
This is an exciting time for Oriel Myrddin, with a new team working together to connect communities in Carmarthenshire and beyond with outstanding contemporary art, craft and design.
This is a full-time, permanent contract (flexible working or part-time will be considered over 30 hours). Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
