Community Music Wales (CMW) is a national arts charity with many years’ experience in working across the creative landscape of Wales. We provide a range of artistic opportunities for participatory activities, training and mentoring, using music as the primary tool of engagement. Our work keeps the community at its core and encourages the widening of access to the arts and culture, believing that it is essential for wellbeing and in creating a cohesive society.
We are interested in meeting candidates who have a passion for the Arts and music, and who are keen to champion CMW’s work. If you have the energy and passion to get involved and make a real difference, we want to hear from you. Previous experience as a Trustee is not necessary. This is a great opportunity to get involved at an exciting time for our charity.
Being a charity Trustee gives you the opportunity to:
- support an organisation that is making a real difference through its work
- play a fundamental role in the strategic development of the organisation
- gain valuable experience and learn new skills within the role
Meetings are held quarterly and via Zoom so location is no barrier. We are looking for applicants from across Wales and are especially keen to hear from individuals who meet any one of the following criteria:
- Are aged 18-25 years old.
- Are from Black, Asian or underrepresented group backgrounds.
- Have Welsh language skills.
- Have strategic experience in improving equality, diversity, and inclusion.
