Blackwood Miners’ Institute is hosting The Art of Looking at Ourselves / Y Gelf o Weld ein Hunain, a three-day intensive training from 11–13 May 2026, with places still available for practitioners interested in joining the Coming to Our Senses Trainer Pathway.
Coming to Our Senses is a creative mindfulness programme developed by Theatr Cynefin and piloted with NHS staff across Wales. It combines applied theatre, mindfulness, group dialogue, journaling and guided meditation to support wellbeing, resilience and connection.
This three-day intensive is the first stage of the Trainer Pathway for those who wish to train to deliver Coming to Our Senses. It is suitable for:
- Creative practitioners
- Theatre makers
- Arts in health practitioners
- Mindfulness teachers
- Wellbeing practitioners
- Facilitators with experience of holding groups
Thanks to support from Arts Council of Wales, a limited number of funded or subsidised places are available in 2026 for practitioners living or working in Wales.
