About the role

The timetabling team is seeking to appoint a highly organised, outward thinking, timetabling administrator who is self-motivated and dedicated to delivering high standards of customer service on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be a strong problem solver, an innovative thinker, and possess the ability to stay calm in an ever-changing climate. They will have to work as part of the team responsible for producing a timely and accurate University timetable, ensuring it is student focused and uses the estate efficiently.

Day-to-day activities will include handling academic scheduling and ad hoc room booking enquiries via inbox, phone or face to face and accurate data entry into our timetabling software. The candidate will have a collaborative and flexible approach, and will be working with colleagues from across the University. The post requires the candidate to be able to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills along with great interpersonal skills. It also requires strong organisational and problem-solving skills to handle strict deadlines and a variety of challenges that may arise along the way. Experience in working with databases and Microsoft Office is essential. Candidates will need to have a Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience.

In meeting your performance expectations, you’ll receive an annual salary increase in line with the grade of your role. An annual cost of living uplift will be applied, the timing and implementation of which is subject to the University’s decision. AUB provides generous holiday entitlement, and you will be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme (professional services staff) or the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (academic staff) from day one of employment.
