Bournemouth Film School is seeking an academic specialising in Hair, Makeup and Prosthetic Effects who is passionate about teaching and student development. The successful candidate will deliver engaging practical workshops across hairdressing, makeup artistry, wig work, prosthetic application and fabrication, supporting students to develop both technical expertise and creative confidence.
You will inspire students through hands-on learning while exploring the critical, historical and contemporary contexts that shape the discipline. The role includes contributing to contextual studies, tutorials, seminars and lectures, helping students understand the cultural, professional and theoretical frameworks that inform contemporary practice.
The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, excellent organisational and communication skills, and a commitment to inclusive, student-centred learning.
