AUB Academy is seeking a highly organised and proactive Operations Officer to support the smooth delivery of our short course programmes. Working closely with the AUB Academy Manager and Senior Operations Officer, the post holder will be required to work flexibly to balance their time between operational, coordination, and administrative duties, managing logistics, resources and developing strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The post holder will deliver excellent levels of customer service in the provision of our short course portfolio and make a significant contribution to the development and quality of AUB Academy's course provision, ensuring programmes remain current, accessible, and well run. The role also includes supporting safeguarding measures for under 18's on our Saturday Art School, Creative Arts Summer School, and all Summer Programmes where students are aged under 18 years. They will also work closely with the Access and Participation Manager delivering courses to meet our obligations to widening access and our Foundation Course Leader to ensure good opportunities for progression.

The post holder will be highly organised and lead on operational delivery and coordination. They will have excellent project management skills, excellent written and verbal communication, experience of using databases, experience of researching, planning, and the ability to deliver administrative and operational needs while ensuring our portfolio of courses are current and accessible.

The post holder must be a self-starter with an understanding of the role short courses play in widening access to Higher Education, an understanding of the recruitment challenges facing short courses, and an understanding of how to overcome them, be committed to delivering outstanding student experiences and have a passion for creative arts education. This is a hands-on role that involves moving course materials around campus, supporting early evening and Saturday shifts, and occasional out of hours work, especially during busy periods and summer. A flexible schedule will be agreed with the AUB Academy Manager. Flexibility in availability and a full clean UK driving licence are essential.

This position involves working with children (under-18s)/ vulnerable people and therefore requires compliance with the University's Safeguarding Policies, including the requirement for enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service clearance prior to the commencement of employment. The University is committed to stringent Safeguarding practices, including in its practices around the recruitment and selection of staff, to positions which involve working with children and/or vulnerable people. The successful candidate will be required to complete AUB approved Safeguarding Training.

In meeting your performance expectations, you'll receive an annual salary increase in line with the grade of your role. An annual cost of living uplift will be applied, the timing and implementation of which are subject to the University's decision. AUB provides generous holiday entitlement, and you will be enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme (professional services staff) or the Teachers' Pension Scheme (academic staff) from day one of employment.
