Overview
The Academic Office provides support to academic course teams. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic administrative officer to provide maternity cover for this role.
The post-holder should have the ability to deliver effective administrative and operational support and will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Under the direction of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Manager the postholder will refer to University policy in providing guidance and advice to students and supporting academic colleagues in the application of correct procedures. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator who has excellent attention to detail, a positive approach to customer service and is proactive in supporting colleagues to achieve team deliverables. In this post you will produce accurate and reliable written information, be confident using databases and have excellent IT skills. A calm approach to problem solving whilst working quickly and effectively is fundamental to the success of the role as is the ability to respond to requests which require investigation with another member of the team or colleagues from across the AUB. You will need the ability to work to deadlines and prioritise a range of administrative tasks through careful planning.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and reliable written information and be confident using databases.
- Deliver effective administrative and operational support under the direction of the Quality Assurance and Enhancement Manager, referencing University policy to guide students and colleagues on correct procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent IT skills and a calm, proactive approach to problem solving; respond to requests that require investigation with team members or colleagues from across the AUB.
- Prioritise tasks and work to deadlines through careful planning.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification and/or equivalent experience as a minimum requirement.

Working pattern
