Balbir Singh Dance Company seeks an International Dance Producer. We are looking for an experienced producer on a freelance basis to work with the company on its international development plans over the next two years, as an Arts Council England – National Portfolio Organisation. This role is for a Producer based in Europe.

Balbir Singh Dance Company specializes in a unique synthesis of classical Indian Kathak, contemporary dance, and live music. The company performs works choreographed by Balbir Singh alone, adding his unique voice to the diverse dance scene in the UK and around the world. Our work has been performed widely nationally and increasingly internationally.

The company is one of only three organisations working with the Royal Opera House on its new Links scheme.

Upcoming touring includes:

  • A triple bill of work this autumn.

Future plans include:

  • Developing Hopscotch, a new outdoor festival piece for children to perform in the summer 2013.
  • Touring Synchronised.
  • Developing a new male/female duet.
  • Developing a new large‑cast full-length piece.
