Job Description
This is a part-time hybrid role for a Publicity Assistant located in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Publicity Assistant will be responsible for conducting research and campaign development, day to day admin tasks, managing diaries, drafting and distributing press releases, and supporting public relations efforts, supporting on events, maintaining media lists, and providing general administrative support.
We are looking for a talented and motivated assistant who is keen to gets hands on PR experience working across a varied and interesting roster of clients and projects including working at launch events, fairs and exhibitions. A keen interest in arts and culture and good communication skills essential.
The position is currently for 2-3 days per week.
Job Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A good understanding of how to write compelling and punchy copy and an interest in drafting effective press releases.
A good eye for design and layout and experience using Canva or similar programmes to create campaign materials and client documents.
Proficient in undertaking research and updating reports and managing diaries.
Strong organisation skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with both in-office and remote tasks. Comfortable working on site at exhibitions, art fairs, launch events.
Experience in the arts or cultural sector and an understanding and interest in the media/social media.
