Job Summary
We’re looking for Black men and women of all ages with a variety of Afro hairstyles and textures to feature in a powerful photography exhibition celebrating the beauty, diversity, and significance of Afro hair.
Job Description
Afro hair has long been a symbol of identity, culture, and heritage, yet Black individuals continue to face discrimination because of their hair—whether in workplaces, schools, or wider society. Crown & Glory is a project dedicated to challenging these biases, promoting self-acceptance, and highlighting the richness of Black identity through the power of art.
The exhibition will take place at Plaistow Library and is proudly funded by the Newham Community Neighbourhood Small Grant , reinforcing the borough’s commitment to diversity, inclusion, and cultural representation. This is more than just an exhibition—it’s a movement to normalize Afro hair in professional and educational settings , ensuring that future generations grow up in a world where all hair textures are embraced and celebrated.
Whether you wear an afro, locs, braids, twists, bantu knots, or any other style , we want to showcase the full spectrum of Afro hair in all its glory ! This is a unique opportunity to amplify your voice, share your story, and be part of a project that will inspire and empower the community.
No modeling experience required—just confidence and authenticity!
