Job Description WE ARE HIRING: Funding & Bid Manager (Freelance, Remote, 3 Days a Week) Join the team behind Europe\’s largest celebration of Black literature. The Black British Book Festival (BBBF) is seeking a highly organised and experienced Funding & Bid Manager to join our dynamic team. You will work alongside two team members who already manage grant research and initial drafting. Your role is to oversee the full bid process-from eligibility checks to final submission-ensuring our applications are strategic, accurate, and successful. Position: Funding & Bid Manager Type: Freelance Location: Remote (UK-based) Working Days: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays Rate: £250/day (fixed) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Ongoing (initial 3-month trial) Job Requirements Proven experience in managing and winning funding bids, ideally in arts, culture, or the non-profit sector Strong grant writing and editing skills Excellent attention to detail and document management Familiarity with major UK funders such as Arts Council England, the National Lottery, and leading foundations Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while collaborating with a small team Job Responsibilities Review funding opportunities and confirm BBBF\’s eligibility Select the strongest project idea from proposed options Edit and finalise draft applications for clarity and alignment Prepare and check supporting documents (budgets, policies, reports) Oversee timelines to ensure timely submissions Maintain a clear record of bids and follow up with funders Collaborate with the grant researcher and bid drafter to manage 4-6 applications per month #J-18808-Ljbffr
