published - Thu, 24 Sep 2026Job SummaryCrossroads Live UK are seeking applications for a Sound No 1 for the Mean Girls UK Tour from 9th November 2026 β 7th January 2027. Job DescriptionThe Sound No 1 is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all sound equipment and is responsible for creating and maintaining an accurate and appropriate sound image. Job RequirementsDuties and Responsibilities:
- The Sound No 1 is responsible for operating the sound equipment for each performance as instructed by the Sound Designer, and where a live orchestra is in use, in consultation with the Musical Supervisor/Musical Director.
- To attend all get-in, fit-up and get-outs as required.
- To attend and operate sound equipment during the technical and dress rehearsals or at other times as required.
- To prepare cue sheets.
- To ensure all equipment is unpacked and prepared at each venue of the tour.
- To co-ordinate and supervise the get-out of sound equipment at each venue, and to prepare equipment ready for loading at the end of the run.
- To ensure that all equipment is maintained and in safe working order. Job ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities (cont.):
- To run equipment checks prior to each performance.
- To ensure that any orders for goods or equipment are made on an appropriate purchase order form and approved by the Producer.
- To provide a carnet for the sound department for any overseas engagements if required.
- Attend production meetings, rehearsals, calls and performances as required.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety guidelines of the Company.
