Overview

As Public Engagement Programmes Coordinator, you will develop and deliver inclusive STEMB activities for local underrepresented youth, enabling dialogue with academics and professionals. You’ll work within the Public and Community Engagement Team to run engaging programmes that connect young people with STEMB and share their perspectives publicly. The role combines programme delivery, community partnership development, and cross‑functional collaboration. This is an opportunity to shape accessible STEM outreach at scale through events like the Great Exhibition Road Festival.

Responsibilities

  • Create inspiring opportunities for local underrepresented young people aged 13–25 to engage with STEMB
  • Coordinate and deliver programmes and activities using creative approaches
  • Support public-facing events such as the Great Exhibition Road Festival
  • Build on existing youth engagement programmes by working with community networks and charities
  • Grow young people's confidence and connection to STEMB through partnerships
