Job Summary
The Programme Producer plays an integral role in the delivery of Mimosa House Gallery’s strategic goals through its public-facing activities. The post holder is responsible for the realisation of our exhibitions, events, production and supporting fundraising and communications.

- Programme Producer Vacancy
- Opportunity type: Full-time, 5 days per week
- Working hours: 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend hours as necessary, to be compensated in time of in lieu
- Salary: £30,000- £35,000 (depending on experience)
- Annual Leave: 20 days (plus 8 statutory holidays)
- Location: Mimosa House, 47 Theobalds Road, WC1X 8SP, London
- Start date: ASAP
- Status: Permanent position, following 6-month probationary period
- Reporting to: The Deputy Director

The post holder is responsible for the realisation of our exhibitions and programme of events. They lead on all areas of production, while also playing a key role in supporting the day-to-day running and development of the gallery, including communications, fundraising activities and administration.

Founded in 2017, Mimosa House is an arts organisation that exists to challenge the lack of diversity in the arts, in the UK and beyond. Throughout everything we do, we centre the voices and experiences of women and queer people, with a particular focus on people of colour, and the intersections between.
Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL
- Experience of organising public exhibitions in a non-profit organisation or equivalent significant experience producing exhibitions.
- Experience in coordinating exhibition logistics.
- Commitment to working with community groups
- Experience of setting and managing budgets.
- A positive problem solver, team player and collaborator.
- Meticulous attention to detail and highly organised.
- Excellent written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure within a fast-paced environment with a flexible approach.
- Willingness to learn and be open to new experiences and opportunities.
- Passion for contemporary art, inclusion & MHs vision in particular.
DESIRABLE
- Experience of international art transportation & registrarial responsibilities.
- Experience of organising public-facing events.
- Experience of using small business accounting software.
- Knowledge of producing editions & commercial merch.

PRODUCTION
- Play a critical role in the development and delivery of exhibitions, being part of conversations early in the research and planning of projects through to realisation and evaluation.
- Lead on the logistics necessary to produce exhibitions to the highest standard, including supporting the development and production of new work, facilitating loans, producing exhibition layouts, coordinating local, national and international art shipments, handling physical, digital and audio-visual artworks, and obtaining suppliers' estimates.
COMMUNICATIONS & FUNDRAISING
- Play a key role in supporting Mimosa House's Communications Strategy including supporting social media content, leading on website updates and Mailchimp mail-outs.
- Provide support in the writing of exhibition descriptions and interpretive materials such as wall texts, artwork labels and website content as required.
FINANCE
- Be responsible for drafting & monitoring budgets.
