Contract: Fixed term contract for 12 months from start date, working 35 hours per week. Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility.

Salary: £38,689 per annum Grade C plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.

Location: Manchester. The role will be based in Manchester; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week.

Arts Council England is investing in the future of its Digital, Data and Technology services and is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Officer, Digital Workplace Applications to help deliver the next phase of our digital transformation journey. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in improving how colleagues collaborate, communicate and share information across a national organisation.

Working within our Digital Workplace team, you will help shape and deliver modern workplace services that support colleagues wherever they work. The role is being recruited as part of the implementation of Arts Council England's new Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Operating Model, supporting the organisation's ambition to modernise services, strengthen digital capabilities and improve the colleague experience through technology.

Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will lead the delivery of key Digital Workplace initiatives, helping to ensure that workplace technologies are user-focused, secure, accessible and provide measurable value to the business.

As Senior Officer, Digital Workplace Applications, you will lead the delivery of a defined portfolio of Digital Workplace projects and enhancements, supporting the adoption and optimisation of Microsoft 365 technologies across Arts Council England. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and service providers to deliver workplace improvements that enhance communication, collaboration, information management and productivity.

A key focus of the role will be supporting the continued adoption of SharePoint Online as Arts Council England's primary cloud-based information management platform, helping to drive consistent ways of working and improve how information is stored, shared and managed.

You will provide expertise in Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and associated workplace tools, ensuring solutions are effectively implemented, adopted and supported. You will also provide leadership for Digital Workplace initiatives, contribute to technology roadmaps and support colleagues in maximising the value of workplace technologies.

We're looking for a highly organised and collaborative individual with excellent communication skills, strong stakeholder management abilities and experience delivering digital workplace solutions. You will be comfortable working with both technical and non-technical colleagues and will have a passion for driving user adoption, continuous improvement and successful business outcomes.

During the 12-month fixed-term period, you will play a key role in delivering strategic Digital Workplace initiatives, including SharePoint migration activity, workplace collaboration improvements, information management enhancements and broader Microsoft 365 adoption across Arts Council England.

Important Information: Arts Council England is currently undertaking a management of change programme as part of the implementation of a new Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Operating Model. As a result, this position is offered as a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months and is focused on delivering a defined programme of Digital Workplace transformation, service improvements and business outcomes during that time. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Workplace and will work closely with colleagues across Digital, Data and Technology, the Service Desk and business stakeholders throughout Arts Council England.
