Contract: 6-month fixed term contract, working 35 hours per week.

Salary: £28,662 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave.

Location: Manchester (office based)

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the Estates and Facilities Team playing a key role in providing an efficient, courteous, and professional facilities service to staff and visitors at our Head Office in Manchester.

The main duties include:

  • Greeting staff and visitors
  • Assisting staff with arrangements for meetings
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Keeping accurate and up to date records
  • Maintaining supplies of stationery and office refreshments
  • Dealing with mail
  • Monitoring cleaning standards
  • Recording planned and reactive maintenance
  • Reporting maintenance issues
  • Contributing to maintaining a healthy and safe environment for staff and visitors
  • Communicating effectively at all levels both face to face and by email

Timekeeping and reliability are key to this role, and applicants should be available and prepared to work 7 hours a day at the office. Occasional out of usual hours working may be required to enable works or maintenance to go ahead, notice would be given.

Applicants should have experience in a customer facing role, be reliable, approachable and helpful, possess a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook and Teams and be able to prioritise tasks and operate and communicate effectively within a small team. Knowledge of health and safety in a working environment would be desirable; relevant training would be provided.
