Assistant Facilities (FCS56)

Contract: Fixed term until 31 May 2026, 35 hours per week.

Salary: £28,662 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme and generous annual leave.

Location: Manchester (office based).

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual to join the Estates and Facilities Team to provide an efficient, courteous and professional facilities service to staff and visitors at our Head Office in Manchester.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet staff and visitors.
  • Assist staff with arrangements for meetings.
  • Raise purchase orders and keep accurate records.
  • Maintain supplies of stationery and office refreshments.
  • Deal with mail and monitor cleaning standards.
  • Record planned and reactive maintenance and report maintenance issues.
  • Contribute to maintaining a healthy and safe environment for staff and visitors.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels, both face to face and by email.

Timekeeping: Reliable timekeeping is key. Applicants should be available to work 7 hours a day at the office and occasional out‑of‑usual‑hours work may be required, with notice given.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in a customer‑facing role.
  • Reliable, approachable and helpful.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Teams.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and operate effectively within a small team.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of health and safety in a working environment.
