Overview
In this SENDCo role, you will build on our SEND provision and pastoral/inclusion framework to raise practice across a post-16 setting. You will work with senior leads, pastoral staff and year teams to embed inclusive approaches in curriculum access, adaptive teaching, attendance and wellbeing. You will support students’ independence, self-advocacy and readiness for life beyond LSA under the Preparing for Adulthood agenda. Your work will shape a more inclusive, outcomes-driven student experience with a strong focus on transition and destination readiness.
Responsibilities
- Embed inclusion across the student experience, from curriculum access to wellbeing
- Coordinate with AP for Teaching and Learning, AP for Inclusion, Pastoral Manager and Heads of Year
- Develop adaptive teaching approaches and support attendance and wellbeing
- Support destination readiness and independence for post-16 students
- Drive alignment with the Preparing for Adulthood agenda
