Overview
As Infrastructure Project Manager you will lead IT infrastructure-focused projects within a major estate transformation programme. You will work in the Information Services team to deliver IT workstreams tied to building renovations and infrastructure projects, coordinating planning, procurement, risk, and handover. You will manage multiple projects with diverse scopes, ensuring delivery on time, budget and quality. Responsibilities
- Lead multiple infrastructure and technical projects from initiation to completion
- Manage IT workstreams within building renovation, refurbishment and new-build projects
- Develop project scopes, cost estimates, plans, RAID logs and governance documentation
- Coordinate technical specialists, contractors and third-party suppliers
- Manage procurement activity and supplier performance
- Translate requirements across departments into practical technical solutions
- Oversight of risks, dependencies and budgets to ensure successful delivery
- Provide technical project expertise to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Key requirements
- Experience delivering physical IT infrastructure projects with multiple concurrent technical initiatives
- Strong understanding of networking and infrastructure concepts (switches, VLANs, WANs, Windows Server, virtualization, Active Directory)
- Knowledge of Cisco networking, Azure, VMware and enterprise infrastructure environments is advantageous
- Experience in technical IT roles and IT project management with supplier, procurement and contract management
- Experience creating and managing project plans, risk registers, and communicating with non-technical audiences
