The Associate General Manager supports the day-to-day operation of Selladoor Worldwide's London attractions, overseeing budgets, payroll, recruitment, HR, compliance and reporting while working with production, technical, creative, hospitality and venue teams to deliver exceptional operations.

Job Description

  • Support the General Manager with planning new productions, including recruitment, contracting, rehearsals and production logistics.
  • Lead the recruitment process for cast and crew, coordinating advertising, auditions, interviews, offers and contract renewals.
  • Plan rehearsals, workshops and performer schedules, overseeing the day-to-day management of performer-related operations.
  • Act as the primary contact for production enquiries, liaising with producers, creatives, clients, international promoters and company members, including visa administration where required.
  • Support the delivery of press nights, investor events, launches and other production events.
  • Line manage Heads of Department, providing operational, wellbeing and HR support, while monitoring staffing budgets and performance.
  • Coordinate company meetings, directing team visits and accessibility requirements, ensuring reasonable adjustments are implemented.
  • Work with marketing, ticketing, venue and client teams to deliver seasonal operations, promotional activity and VIP events.
  • Ensure productions operate safely and effectively, maintaining compliance with client policies and health and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and monitor operational, seasonal and recruitment budgets, oversee travel, accommodation and rehearsal expenditure, approve agreed overspends and support franchise budgeting where required.
  • Oversee weekly payroll, invoicing and financial administration, liaising with finance teams, production accountants and clients.
  • Manage HR processes including performance reviews, disciplinary matters, welfare concerns, contractual compliance, policy implementation and data protection, escalating complex issues to the General Manager where appropriate.
  • Attend performances, previews and company events, promote Selladoor Worldwide and provide cover for other Associate General Managers as required.

Job Requirements

Full-time, 37.5 hours (unpaid lunch break of a half hour per day). This role will involve some evening and/or weekend working. Based between Selladoor's offices in Deptford, Central London attraction sites, and client offices/sites, as necessary.
