Leeds Conservatoire is excited to appoint a Manager for Leeds Junior Conservatoire, beginning in Autumn 2026.
This is an fantastic opportunity to lead and develop our junior provision, with a particular focus on the successful delivery and continuous enhancement of our Saturday music school program.
- Job Requirements
- Significant experience of working with children and young people (under 18) in a music or arts education setting.
- A passion for arts education and a commitment to providing an outstanding experience for young musicians.
- Experience of leading and developing educational programmes, teams or projects, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- The ability to build strong partnerships and collaborate with colleagues, parents/carers and external organisations to enhance opportunities for young people.
- A strategic and innovative approach, with the vision to grow and develop our Junior Conservatoire while strengthening links with higher education, regional partners and the wider music sector.
- Job Responsibilities
- Lead the day to day management and development of the Leeds Junior Conservatoire, ensuring the successful delivery of our Saturday music school.
- Support, inspire and manage a team of expert tutors and academics to deliver an outstanding learning experience.
- Drive the continuous improvement of the curriculum, programmes and student experience across a range of musical genres.
- Foster a positive, inclusive and inspiring environment where young musicians can develop their talent, confidence and creativity.
- Oversee the planning, coordination and evaluation of Saturday school activities, events and performances.
- Build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, staff and external partners to support engagement and progression.
- Monitor quality, performance and budgets, ensuring the programme meets organisational objectives and delivers an excellent learner experience.
