Contract Permanent, working 35 hours per week. Arts Council recognises flexible working. Salary and Benefits £38,689 per annum plus benefits, including final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, flexible and hybrid working. Location Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, or Bristol. Role will be based at any of these locations; hybrid working with 1‑2 days on site per week.

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Senior Officer, Capital Investment. Arts Council England delivers a range of capital investment programmes to support sustainable creative and cultural organisations across England. This role sits within the Capital Investment Team. In 2026/27, Arts Council England will manage and administer three capital programmes on behalf of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s DCMS:

  • The Creative Foundations Fund (£485m 2025/26 – 2029/30)
  • Museum Estate and Development Fund (£126.25m 2025/26 – 2029/30)
  • Libraries Improvement Fund (£25.5m 2025/26 – 2029/30)

Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and support to staff on the development of assets or cultural infrastructure, ensuring effective delivery of capital investment programmes.
  • Support the Arts Council’s broader development role, offering advice on capital development both internally and externally to realise place‑based priorities and benefit more people across the country.
