Role Overview:

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Business Development, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and closing new development and commercial business opportunities within the UK & Nordics territory. This role will also manage existing client relationships, support commercial programs, and play a key part in driving growth and strengthening the company’s presence in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to identify, qualify, pursue, and close new business opportunities, both with existing clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to negotiate and execute complex development and supply agreements.
  • Present company capabilities effectively, crafting tailored solutions to meet clients’ development and manufacturing needs.
  • Prepare and negotiate development and commercial proposals in close collaboration with Operations.
  • Support strategic account planning with Sales Unit Leaders and Key Account Managers.
  • Provide input into pricing strategy and assist with structuring value-creating deals.
  • Offer business and relationship management support for existing development and commercial programs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal reporting processes and maintain open communication across sites and business units.
  • Perform other tasks as agreed with the Vice President of Global Business Development to drive growth and achieve business objectives.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced degree or MBA advantageous).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or project management.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or CDMO industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of sterile and oral solid-dose manufacturing is a plus.
  • Strong client focus, results orientation, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English.

Physical & Work Environment:

  • Office-based work with significant computer use (up to 8 hours/day).
  • Occasional lifting/moving of items up to 10kg.
  • Fast-paced, client-focused, collaborative environment.
