Compensation is important to us. We want to hire driven, passionate staff so we’re committed to making sure our team has the highest earning potential in the Willamette Valley. A qualified Tasting Room Associate at Artist Block will earn between $17-19/hr base (dependent on experience), with a realistic all-in of $35 to $50/hr after tips, commissions, and performance incentives.
Our compensation philosophy is simple: When you earn more, it means we’re earning more. So we want you to earn more, always. Overtime is paid per Oregon wage and hour laws; pre-approval required. Schedule is approximately 9AM to 6PM; weekends required; up to 5 days per week.
We're looking for a hands-on, people-first Tasting Room Associate who brings energy to the floor, cares about the job, and wants to grow personally and professionally with a brand whose star is on the rise. You'll learn the full rhythm of a small winery's tasting room from the inside out: hospitality, sales, events, inventory, and everything in between. This isn't a background role. You're the face of Artist Block for every guest who walks through the door.
We care deeply about the people who work here, and we hire with extreme intention knowing that we're a tight-knit family. We are honest. We make mistakes. We talk about them. We learn quickly and move forward. Feedback here is direct and respectful. We trust each other to show up, do the work, and take pride in what we're building. We want to know what you're passionate about and what you see for your future self, because we want to help you get there.
At Artist Block, you'll become the best version of yourself as a tasting room associate, and we'll support your continued growth along the way, whatever that looks like.

- Ensure our space looks and feels beautiful by maintaining a warm, clean tasting room environment per opening and closing protocols.
- Punctual, efficient, and appropriately dressed for every shift.
- Input all orders and customer requests accurately into POS and close out data within 24 hours.
- Maintain accountability for assigned tasks and follow up on individual assignments in a timely manner.

- Other duties as needed; we are a small, growing team.
- Winery tasting room experience is required.

- Outstanding customer service with a solution-based attitude.
- Ability to gracefully manage limited supply and reservation capacity.
- Solid working knowledge of wines and production.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Must work weekends and some evenings; detail-oriented, organized, able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid OLCC permit.
- Professional appearance and personal flair.
If this role feels like it's calling to you but your experience isn't a perfect match on paper, apply anyway. We hire for heart, hustle, and hunger as much as we hire for a resume. Tell us why in your cover letter and don't hold back.
The bottom line: $17-19/hr base DOE, plus tips, club and AOV bonuses, and PTO. Realistic all-in: $35 to $50/hr.
