We are seeking skilled and passionate Day and Night Bakers to join our team at an artisan bakery based in Liverpool. The ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in the bakery industry and food production and a keen interest in creating high-quality baked goods. As a Day or Night Baker, you will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting a variety of products while adhering to food safety standards. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a wide range of baked goods, including sourdough, yeasted breads and pastries.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and baking areas.
- Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to create new recipes and improve existing ones.
Experience
- Proven experience in a bakery or similar food production environment is preferred.
- You do not need to have experience in sourdough but experience with yeasted bread and baking is highly desirable/essential.
- Full training is provided.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques related to baking.
- Familiarity with various baking equipment and machines used in the bakery.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
