Artisan Recruit are looking for an ambitious and hands-on M&E Small Works Manager / Supervisor to help establish and grow our small works division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys autonomy, takes ownership, and wants to play a key role in building a department for the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver small M&E works projects from enquiry through to completion.
  • Carry out site surveys, pricing, quotations, and client liaison.
  • Plan labour, materials, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Personally attend and deliver smaller “man and van” style works where required.
  • Oversee larger small works projects by pricing, planning, and coordinating delivery teams.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Support the growth and development of the small works division, helping shape processes and future team structure.

About You

  • Proven experience in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) project delivery, supervision, or small works management.
  • Strong technical understanding of building services installations and maintenance.
  • Ability to price works, interpret specifications, and manage costs.
  • Organised, commercially aware, and confident working independently.
  • Practical, hands-on approach with a willingness to get involved on-site.
  • Full UK driving licence essential.
