Artisan Recruitment are looking for a Mechanical Working Foreman for a well-established mechanical contractor in Dorset. The candidate would be from a plumbing/mechanical background who is capable of combining installation work with site supervision responsibilities.
The position would involve a combination of supervision and mechanical installation depending on project needs. For example, sometimes the individual may spend several months supervising mechanical works on site, working under our Project Manager. Other times they may be hands-on installing plumbing or supporting our site teams. They may also move between sites providing technical support and supervision.
The intention is that this remains a long-term hybrid role within the business. We are not specifically looking to move someone permanently away from installation into full-time supervision; instead, we want someone comfortable operating in both capacities depending on project requirements.
The ideal person would therefore be a strong plumber/mechanical installer who is also capable of supervising works when required, coordinating labour and maintaining standards on site. We are looking for someone keen, practical and flexible, happy to work across projects on the South Coast. Ideally, they would have SSSTS, or be willing to obtain it.
This is a permanent PAYE role with company vehicle, pension and computer equipment provided.
