Artisan Recruit are looking for a motivated and reliable Lightning Protection Engineer to join our growing team based in Chichester, with projects located across South England and London. The role will involve inspection, testing, maintenance, and installation work on lightning protection systems across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carrying out inspection, testing, maintenance, and installation of lightning protection systems
  • Completing accurate site reports and documentation using an iPad
  • Working independently on ground-level tasks
  • Working as part of a team for high-level access works
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with industry standards and company procedures
  • Maintaining company equipment and ensuring vehicles are kept in good condition
  • Representing the company professionally on client sites
Requirements
  • Previous experience in lightning protection, earthing systems, electrical testing, or a similar engineering/construction background (preferred but training may be considered for the right candidate)
  • The ability to work confidently alone and as part of a team
  • Good communication and report-writing skills
  • Basic IT skills for completing digital reports on an iPad
  • A strong understanding of health and safety practices
  • A full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Willingness to travel throughout South England and London
  • Flexibility to work away from home on occasion when required
