A luxury beauty brand is on the hunt for a dedicated Supply Planner to be based in London.
The role involves supporting the successful and smooth running of all Supply Chain operations. Your key responsibilities include:
- Supporting in the purchasing of stock with global suppliers; working with the Supply Chain Manager to review required demand, assess material requirements and supplier MOQs.
- Supporting in the negotiations of costs, MOQ and lead times.
- Maintaining and developing relationships with global contract manufacturers, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and 3PL providers.
- Working closely with suppliers and contract manufacturers throughout the ordering process, from PO placement through to delivery. Requesting schedule updates, answering queries and resolving problems as required.
- Using the ERP system, SAP, to maintain accuracy of order information, stock levels, product data, stock transfers and creation of SKU codes.
- Managing an import shipping schedule: obtaining quotes from freight forwarders, providing and/or completing necessary shipment documentation. Monitoring shipment schedule ensuring successful delivery into contract manufacturers and 3PL locations.
- Resolving root-cause problems relating to production, logistics, imports and exports and customs clearance.
- Verification and authorisation of supplier packing lists and invoices, working closely with Finance to resolve invoice discrepancies and provide input towards priority invoices.
- Producing a weekly stock report, communicating current stock levels, stock cover, future inbounds, current and expected out of stocks.
- Supporting in the arranging of freight for all stock transfers between all 3PL locations.
- Working closely with internal teams: NPD, Regulatory and Design throughout the ordering process, placing NPD orders and ensuring the timely supply of packaging artworks.
- Collaborating with the Supply Chain Manager to review and identify opportunities for improved processes.
Our ideal candidate possesses both technical and interpersonal strengths with a degree preferably in supply chain management, logistics, or business administration. You will have strong written and numerical abilities, with a knack for clear communication and utilising information effectively. Basic to intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, are a must. A degree or relevant experience in the beauty industry is preferred, alongside advanced Excel proficiency. In your past roles, you’ve demonstrated a drive for self-development and progression. Experience with ERP systems, commercial awareness, and knowledge of SAP are valuable assets. Having worked in both large and small companies, ideally with a luxury background, is a plus. Finally, excellent communication, independent judgement, meticulous attention to detail, and superb organisation are key. You will be a natural relationship builder, adaptable, and a champion for the company’s values.
