The London Transport Museum is looking for an experienced Ecommerce Project Manager. This is a minimum 6-month contract, with the possibility of being extended to 12 months. Based in London.

The role involves direct responsibility for the project management of LTM’s new online shop. There may be flexibility to support other digital projects for 1-2 days a week, but this project is the primary focus.

Key accountabilities:

  • Work with third parties, including the development agency, to ensure the current and future needs of the LTM online shop are met and the potential for income generation is maximised.
  • Research, arrange and liaise between stakeholders to ensure knowledge is shared and all are agreed on approach.
  • Work with the existing LTM Online team and wider Retail team to ensure development works meet and support the business needs and processes.
  • Work with the TFL Technology and Data (T&D), Data Protection and Cyber Security teams to ensure the new site meets all TFL and industry standard requirements for security and GDPR regulations.
  • Work with the TFL Procurement team to ensure that contracts are adequate and adhered to, costs are controlled, and service levels met.
  • Work with the TFL Project Manager and other stakeholders to ensure that project governance is upheld.
  • Set and ensure the project's critical path is met, bringing in key stakeholders when required.
  • Work with LTM’s Ecommerce Manager and existing digital agency to ensure there is a smooth transition from the existing to the new site.
  • Always ensure effective cost management.
  • Lead on user acceptance testing, ensuring any issues are logged, fixed and retested.
  • Work with the LTM Retail Marketing Manager to develop an effective communication plan for the new site launch maximising new and improved features to drive sales.

How you’ll dazzle us:

  • Sound knowledge of ecommerce platform migration - Magento to Shopify migration is desirable.
  • Technical knowledge of web tools and processes.
  • Sound understanding of the high street and cultural retail market.
  • Sound understanding of EPOS and finance systems - Futura and SAP knowledge is desirable.
  • Knowledge of increasing sales and profit.
  • Strong digital project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical skills, methodical with good attention to detail.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to contribute to creating a productive working environment.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and experienced in managing multiple priorities.
  • High standard of financial understanding.
  • Calm under pressure and able to organise and prioritise workload.
  • Sound business sense, highly commercial, able to establish business cases, set targets and work towards them.
