A luxury skincare and makeup brand is on the hunt for an innovative Director of New Product Development (NPD) to be based in West London. The role The Director of NPD will direct and manage all aspects of NPD and Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) from concept to launch and the complete product lifecycle. Contributing at a strategy level and operating commercially to drive growth and profitability across the brands. You will contribute to the overall business direction and strategy and carry out additional duties when reasonably requested. You will: Direct and advise the business on industry trends and new innovation in all areas covering colour cosmetics, facial skincare, bath and body, and gifting Lead strategy for product development and be responsible for taking the idea from concept through to delivery Drive category growth with innovative product ideas and maintain continual portfolio analysis to drive growth and profitability Ensure timely launch of development initiatives and liaise with all departments to implement a 360 launch strategy Create and communicate the marketing stories for new product launches including compliant product copy and appropriate information for training Maintain strong relationships with all suppliers and be responsible for negotiating costs to maintain budget for new launches Lead, inspire and develop the team members within the NPD Department How you’ll dazzle us The ideal candidate will have a relevant qualification, intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience in a management role, preferably in the beauty industry. You will need excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to lead, manage and develop a team.
