Artisan Partners has an immediate opportunity for a Junior Trader to join our International Trading Desk in London. This role provides early exposure to European equity markets within a global buy‐side trading environment, supporting and learning from experienced traders and investment professionals.
Location: London, UK
Responsibilities
- Provide day‐to‐day support to Artisan's International Trading Desk, with primary coverage of European markets
- Monitor market activity and global news, preparing concise market summaries and trade‐related rundowns for the desk
- Maintain the trading blotter, including trade entry, compliance review, broker confirmations, and trade booking
- Partner closely with Senior Traders, Portfolio Managers, and Analysts, acting as a trusted point of coordination across the investment platform
- Update and maintain Bloomberg portfolios and trading analytics
- Monitor commission budgets and assist with trade‐related reporting
- Support the preparation of quarterly trade cost analysis
- Deliver on ad hoc requests from Portfolio Managers and/or Analysts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a strong interest in capital markets and investing
- Minimum of two years of relevant work experience or internship exposure (trading, investments, markets, or related fields)
- High level of motivation, intellectual curiosity, and a desire to learn
- Strong work ethic with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Bloomberg experience preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast‐paced environment
