Founded by former Michelin-starred chef Paul Rhodes in 2003, Paul Rhodes Bakery has built a strong reputation as the go‑to supplier of quality handcrafted sourdoughs, cakes and pastries in the capital. Paul’s ambition when he started the bakery was simple: to provide London’s busy chefs with the best handcrafted bread, made from the finest ingredients possible and traditional techniques. We have both a wholesale business supplying some of London’s top restaurants, hotels, cafés, and entertainment venues, as well as our local retail bakery shop which is based a ten‑minute walk up the road, in Greenwich Market. We are currently looking for a passionate baker to join our team on a permanent basis. We want our bakery to be the very best and you and your role will be an integral part of this journey. Key Responsibilities:
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in baking.
  • Prepare Sourdough breads from our various ranges and other baked products – this will include mixing, scaling, and shaping before baking.
  • Ability to produce Sourdough bread using manual and/or industrial processes.
  • Knowledge of Sourdough dough preparation times, procedures and various baking techniques.
  • Ability to operate electric bread ovens.
  • Manage high volumes and monitor production consistently and professionally.
  • Ensure all products are made to set quality standards and in line with daily orders.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations for food preparation.
  • Maintain cleanliness of your work area including utensils and equipment.

Location: Paul Rhodes Bakery, SE10 9PJ (Greenwich, London). Candidates must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
