Artis Recruitment is pleased to be supporting a leading manufacturer in consumer goods, who is renowned for innovation, quality, and customer focus. As they continue to expand their product portfolio, they are seeking an experienced and driven New Product Development Project Manager to lead projects from concept through to launch.
Reporting to the Head of Product Development, you will be responsible for managing cross‑functional NPD projects, ensuring new products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate with R&D, operations, procurement, marketing, and sales teams to bring innovative ideas to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for new product development initiatives
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets
- Drive collaboration between engineering, design, production, and commercial teams
- Manage risk, identify potential issues, and implement solutions proactively
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and internal quality requirements
- Deliver clear communication and reporting to senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
- Support continuous improvement in NPD processes and ways of working
About You
- Proven experience in project management within a manufacturing environment (NPD or similar role)
- Strong knowledge of product development processes and stage‑gate methodologies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects
- A problem solver with a proactive and collaborative approach
- Proficient in project management tools/software
- Project management certification (e.g. Prince2, APM, PMP) is advantageous
