Accounts Assistant – Client‑Focused Finance Role
Are you an experienced accounts professional looking for a dynamic, client‑focused role in a regulated environment? We’re seeking a highly organised and proactive Accounts Assistant to join a growing, supportive finance team. What you’ll be doing
- Manage day‑to‑day banking and reconciliations, ensuring client and office accounts are accurate and compliant
- Process payments, receipts, and bank transfers efficiently and accurately
- Maintain petty cash and support month‑end and year‑end accounting processes
- Prepare financial reports, credit control advice, and assist with billing and debt recovery
- Support audits, VAT returns, and payroll liaising as needed
- Take ownership of improving processes and ensuring clarity and accuracy across management accounts
- Collaborate across teams to provide smooth, professional financial support
Who we’re looking for
- Experience working as an Accounts Assistant or in a role handling client funds in a regulated environment
- Strong understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping and financial controls
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
- Professional, proactive, and confident communicator
- Committed to confidentiality and high standards of accuracy
