Artis Executive is delighted to be partnering with a highly successful UK organisation to appoint an experienced Head of Internal Communications. This is a rare opportunity to shape how thousands of colleagues experience, understand and engage with the organisation's strategy, purpose and culture. 3 days a week in the Bristol based office. Reporting into a senior People leader, you'll define and deliver the internal communications and colleague engagement strategy, ensuring employees remain informed, inspired and connected during an exciting period of organisational transformation.

This is a highly visible leadership role, partnering with senior executives to influence culture, support change and create a first-class colleague experience.

The Opportunity

As Head of Internal Communications, you will:

  • Develop and deliver an ambitious internal communications strategy aligned to business priorities.
  • Lead colleague engagement initiatives that strengthen organisational culture and employee experience.
  • Shape and embed the organisation's Colleague Value Proposition across every stage of the employee lifecycle.
  • Partner with Executive and Senior Leadership teams to create authentic, engaging leadership communications.
  • Lead communications for transformation, organisational change and business-wide initiatives.
  • Oversee internal communication channels, ensuring content is engaging, relevant and impactful.
  • Create memorable colleague events, leadership forums and engagement campaigns.
  • Use employee insight, analytics and feedback to continuously improve engagement and communication effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships across HR, Marketing, Corporate Affairs and senior business stakeholders.
About You

We’re looking for an experienced communications leader who combines strategic thinking with exceptional execution. You'll bring:

  • Significant experience leading internal communications within a large, complex organisation.
  • A strong background in colleague engagement, employee experience and organisational culture.
  • Proven experience supporting senior leaders through business transformation and change.
  • Outstanding writing, storytelling and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing executive communications and leadership messaging.
  • Strong commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills.
  • A data-led approach, using colleague insights and engagement metrics to shape decision making.
  • A collaborative, innovative and people-focused leadership style.
