This position can be based in Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh or Glasgow.

This is more than a people-management role.

You’ll be a trusted point of reference for the wider business, combining strong technical knowledge with the leadership skills to develop a high-performing team and make sound, commercially aware decisions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Risk & Compliance professionals.
  • Oversee day-to-day risk and compliance activities, ensuring work is delivered accurately, consistently and on time.
  • Provide advice and challenge to colleagues and stakeholders on risk and regulatory matters.
  • Oversee and/or advise on AML, KYC/CDD and conflict of interest processes.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of policies, procedures and controls.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and help translate changing requirements into practical business processes.
  • Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders and operational teams to embed a strong culture of risk awareness.
  • Contribute to projects, audits and wider risk initiatives across the business.

Team-leading or managerial experience is essential.

You’ll have demonstrated experience of managing, mentoring or leading a team and be confident taking ownership, making decisions and providing constructive challenge.

  • You’ll also need professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Anti-Money Laundering (AML)
  • Conflict of Interest
  • Know Your Customer (KYC)
  • Customer Due Diligence (CDD)

Experience within a professional services, legal, financial services or similarly regulated environment would be highly advantageous.

We’re looking for someone who can combine technical understanding with commercial judgement, excellent communication skills and a genuine interest in developing people.

You’ll be comfortable dealing with complexity, challenging constructively and explaining regulatory requirements in a way that makes sense to the business.

You’ll have the opportunity to make a visible impact in a growing professional services environment, working with talented people and senior stakeholders while developing both your leadership and technical expertise.

If you’re an experienced Risk & Compliance professional who is ready to lead a team, influence decisions and help shape a proactive risk culture, we’d love to hear from you.
