Are you an experienced Employee Relations professional looking for your next opportunity? We’re partnering with a values‑led organisation in Bristol to recruit an experienced Employee Relations Specialist on a fixed‑term basis for 4‑5 months. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative HR team, playing a key role in managing a varied and complex ER caseload while making a genuine difference to people’s lives.
The Role
Joining an established People team, you will provide expert employee relations support to managers across the organisation, handling a broad range of cases from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing a busy caseload, including:
- Sickness absence management
- Disciplinary cases
- Grievances
- Capability and performance issues
- Complex and sensitive employee relations matters
- Advising and coaching managers through formal processes
- Ensuring cases are managed fairly, consistently and in line with employment legislation and organisational policy
You’ll work closely with operational leaders and become a trusted advisor, supporting managers with varying levels of HR experience.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced ER professional who can quickly build credibility and confidently manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Proven experience managing a broad employee relations caseload independently
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience dealing with complex and sensitive cases
- The ability to influence, coach and challenge managers appropriately
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
- A collaborative and team‑focused approach
- Availability to start at short notice or within a short notice period
This role is suited to someone who enjoys a fast‑paced environment and is looking to make an immediate impact. Travel to operational sites will be required, although this is not a daily requirement.
