We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join the People Team of a successful and evolving organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, operational environment and who can combine strong technical HR knowledge with a practical, approachable style.
Working closely with the HR Business Partners and wider People Team, you will play an important role in delivering the people strategy, supporting managers and helping to embed a positive culture aligned to the company's values.
About the role
A key focus of the role will be providing high-quality HR advice and support to managers and colleagues across a range of employee relations and wider people matters.
You will build strong relationships with managers, coaching and supporting them through often complex and sensitive situations, while ensuring that advice is consistent with company policies, employment legislation and best practice.
The role will support colleagues across several locations, so the ability and willingness to travel between sites will be important.
Key responsibilities
* Provide timely, accurate and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers and colleagues, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
* Coach and support managers through informal and formal employee relations processes, including absence, investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters, performance improvement and appeals.
* Support managers in dealing with health and wellbeing matters sensitively and appropriately, working closely with Occupational Health, SHEQ and other wellbeing providers where required.
* Maintain accurate records of employee relations cases and provide management information to help managers monitor and improve team performance.
* Proactively identify and manage potential people-related risks, escalating issues appropriately and working closely with the HR Business Partners.
* Work with the HRBPs to identify opportunities to improve people policies, processes and systems.
