As part of Artiq’s management team, oversee a team of technicians and a warehouse coordinator. Transport, assemble, install and deinstall artworks across client properties. Manage in-house courier logistics.

Key responsibilities

To serve as the public face of Artiq, representing us on-site to clients and suppliers.

To hang and install artwork for our clients, with the highest level of quality.

To manage contracted and internal teams of technicians on all technical aspects of project delivery.

To work closely with the project coordinators and project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget and to the highest quality.

To provide training and development to the technical team, where necessary.

To oversee Artiq’s van and in-house courier service.
Specific responsibilities

Move, assemble, install and deinstall all types of artwork safely and to a high standard.

Have clear understanding of safety procedures and be responsible for booking in all Health and Safety training.

Be well presented and provide clear and consistent communication both to clients and to Artiq team members about project progress.

Promote and be an ambassador for the Company at all times, being highly professional, patient and understanding – our contacts range from loading bay staff to CEOs; you represent Artiq with every conversation you have.

Demonstrable knowledge and initiative for curating art on site.

Proactive with problem-solving against last minute changes and unplanned situations.

Where necessary help project team in job quoting.

Maintain a high-level and smooth supplier relationship by regular and open communication with established and new suppliers.

Liaise with suppliers on project delivery.

Project manage custom jobs, including but not limited to custom frame orders, reframing and bespoke fabrication jobs.

Manage and minimise overheads for installations and find cost-savings wherever possible.

Report to the project team and client consultants post-installation.

Perform general administrative duties, assisting the operations manager in general office logistics for the company.

Constantly innovate and strive to find sources for new suppliers, including but not limited to, speaking with new suppliers on the phone and in person; utilising social media; building strategic partnerships; press scanning; networking.

Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of the company at all times and ensure all confidential documents are securely stored.

Work closely with the warehouse coordinator to maintain the art store and prepare for upcoming projects; quality checking artwork with the warehouse coordinator before installation.

Conduct thorough site surveys and audits of client collections, allowing for smoother quoting and project delivery.

Line manage a small team of art handling technicians, including holiday approvals, weekly 121s, twice-annual performance reviews and training and development plans (1-3-5s), ensuring that they are managed, trained and developed in line with Artiq’s standards.

Oversee our in-house courier service/logistics, being the main driver of Artiq’s van, managing paperwork, logistics and scheduling.

Clean UK driving license.

Willingness to travel within London, regionally and on occasion, internationally.

The ability to proactively manage working hours in line with business demands and demonstrate flexibility with start and end times to meet these demands.
