The predicted salary is between 34470 - 42130 Β£ per year.
Main purpose of the job To directly liaise with the Maintenance Manager to develop, implement, maintain and run the Shire Maintenance Management system and link to Stores Management System across the whole of the Elmdon facility.
Introducing maintenance best practices and generating KPIs that can be used to identify future improvements across the whole site.
Main missions and results Develop and maintain the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programme within Shire, creating, reviewing, and optimising PMs based on equipment performance, failure history and OEM recommendations.
Plan and schedule maintenance work orders, ensuring labour, tooling, permits, contractors, and spare parts are available before work is released.
Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, on time and with minimal disruption to production.
Work closely with the Stores Coordinator to ensure critical spares, consumables and specialist tooling are available before planned work commences.
Review completed work orders and use feedback to improve PM frequencies, job plans and asset reliability.
Monitor PM compliance, schedule adherence and backlog, escalating risks and driving recovery plans where required.
Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) by identifying recurring failures.
Drive continuous improvement through data analysis, reliability improvements, and optimisation of maintenance processes.
Maintain accurate asset data within Shire, including BOMs, equipment hierarchies, task lists, and documentation.
Produce and analyse KPIs including PM compliance, schedule compliance, backlog, overdue work orders, and asset reliability trends.
Preferred skills and experience Preferably have a background in an engineering discipline or qualification, some background in maintenance would be preferable.
PC literate (spreadsheets, databases, word processing and e-mail) to at least intermediate level.
Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure and alone without supervision.
Highly numerate with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and communicational skills as well as a strong sense of urgency and an ability to juggle priorities and work under pressure.
