Join The Glasgow Barons as Creative Communities Producer, connecting Govan, recovery, refugee, and school music groups through hands‑on community, events, and creative engagement.

Key Focus

  • The Creative Communities Producer will be the Community Liaison Partner for Govan and our three city‑wide communities of interest:
  • Those recovering from drug and alcohol addiction
  • Asylum seekers and refugees
  • The baby strings programme within Primary Schools across the city

This is a broad and varied role which involves implementing key strategic Glasgow Barons objectives to deliver ‘on the ground’ musical services in the community. Implementation will involve interacting with the public in a shopping centre, poster and leaflet drops, face‑to‑face engagement with groups, and delivering evening and weekend work from the office based in the Govan area of Glasgow.

What We’re Looking For

  • A community connector who can build and maintain strong, positive relationships across Govan and with the specific groups (recovery communities, refugees/asylum seekers, and school music projects).
  • A practical organiser / producer who can plan and deliver events from start to finish – booking people and venues, managing logistics, attending on the day and solving problems calmly.
  • A confident communicator and representative who can speak to the public, partner organisations and stakeholders and act as the “face” of The Glasgow Barons in the community.
  • A hands‑on marketing awareness to promote activities through social media, posters and local networks to raise the organisation’s profile.
  • A responsible budget manager who can track costs, handle cash when needed and provide accurate input to financial and board reports.
  • A candidate who can gather and report impact, collecting data and feedback to show the value of the work to funders and leadership.

What We Offer

  • A 21 hours per week contract
  • A salary of £16,800.00
  • 118 hours annual leave per year (including public holidays)
  • An exciting and varied role
  • Learning and development opportunities for the right candidate
