Overview
A workshop with Circus Artist Lauren Jamieson giving offerings and space to help you explore and develop your own way of moving with your apparatus and on the floor. This workshop comes out of personal research into exploring movement with my apparatus. It puts no restrictions on what the ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way to move is, instead giving offerings and space to help you explore and develop your own way of moving with your apparatus and on the floor. This will be heavily based on improvised movement, with guidance providing some semi-structured direction. I’ve been exploring this in my personal practise for a number of years and have had the privilege to be able to work with three amazing choreographers to further my practise, supported by Creative Scotland. I want to share what I’ve learned from this with the wider community, and hopefully give you some tools and inspiration to explore the joys that can be discovered in moving our bodies as they want to.
Free to attend but sign up necessary due to limited spaces.
