Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and skilled Multi‑Skilled Handyman with minor electrical skills to perform a variety of tasks, including maintenance, repairs, and minor installations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in handyman services, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in a range of skills, including carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, including carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical work.
- Carry out minor installations, such as lighting and socket outlets, under the guidance of a qualified electrician.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor electrical issues, such as replacing fuses and bulbs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to complete tasks and projects.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, including time sheets and job reports.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to client requests and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a handyman or in a related trade (e.g., carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
- Minor electrical skills, including knowledge of electrical safety and basic electrical principles.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Physical stamina to lift, carry, and manoeuvre heavy equipment and materials.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification or apprenticeship an asset.
