Arthurs Skip Hire and Waste Management Ltd is recognised as the leading waste management company in South Yorkshire. We are looking for an experienced DAF trained HGV Mechanic to join our team.
Permanent Position: Monday - Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday morning 7am-12 noon on a rota.
Excellent rate of pay, depending on experience.
6 weeks (28 days) holiday per year, including the 8 standard statutory public/bank holidays.
Workplace Pension Scheme.
Day to Day duties include but are not limited to:
- Maintenance of our fleet of DAF Skip Trucks, roll on roll off, Grab vehicles, Tippers, Artic units, Walking floors and company vans.
- MOT Preparation and presentation.
- Attending breakdowns as necessary.
- Using diagnostic equipment to correctly identify and repair faults.
- Replacing wheels and re-torques.
- Vehicle Inspections in line with our 'O' license requirements.
- Running repairs.
- Completion of all relevant paperwork & job cards.
- Supporting colleagues and working as part of a team.
- Working in other areas of the business as and when required.
Experience:
- Vehicle HGV Mechanic: 2 years.
- Diagnostic experience.
Licence/Certification:
- NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent (preferred).
- HGV Class I or II licence and Driver CPC (preferred).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £55,000.00 per hour
