Management Accountant – Reinsurance | Cheltenham | Hybrid (2 days office based)

Arthur Financial are exclusively supporting a UK based reinsurer with the search for an experienced Management Accountant to join their close-knit finance team based in Cheltenham. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a purpose-driven business at the heart of making UK flood insurance more accessible and sustainable.
The Role:
Working alongside the FP&A Lead and wider finance team, you'll play a key part in management reporting, forecasting, reforecasting, and supporting decision-making across the organisation. This is a broad and varied role combining classic management accounting with elements of business partnering and operational support.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Producing monthly departmental reports and contributing to the quarterly finance board packs
  • Supporting with planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting cycles
  • Assisting with VAT returns, expense reporting, project finance tracking, and bond trade reconciliations
  • Partnering with teams across the organisation to resolve ad-hoc financial queries
  • Supporting regulatory compliance, internal process documentation, and investment tracking
What we’re looking for:
  • Part-qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with a strong foundation in management accounting
  • Confident Excel user with good communication skills
  • Insurance sector experience is desirable, but not essential
  • SUN Accounting experience (desirable)
  • IFRS17 experience (desirable)
