I'm working with an innovative personal lines insurer — they’re hiring a Modelling Specialist / Pricing Data Scientist to help take their modelling capability to the next level. This is a high-impact role with a lot of flexibility and innovation — they’re actively testing new techniques and tooling beyond traditional GLMs, including Databricks, Python, and new feature engineering approaches.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and testing new pricing models
  • Trialling and integrating third-party data enrichments
  • Reviewing peer code and strengthening internal model validation
  • Some interaction with wider stakeholders (reserving, finance) depending on profile
  • Core focus is on risk modelling, but with exposure to profitability analytics

Qualifications:

  • Strong Python experience used in modelling, data handling, and coding reviews
  • GI pricing experience (personal lines ideally)
  • Strong academics, high-performing, ambitious, and collaborative
  • 2–8 years’ experience — flexible depending on capability
