We are the market leaders in supplying Bariatric and specialist equipment, specialising in beds, mattresses, seating, toileting, and hoisting equipment for acute, community, long term, and home care.
Due to growth and to support the continued delivery of excellent service to our customers and the sector, we are seeking to appoint a successful and experienced Regional Sales Manager to join the capable and professional team.
Reporting to the Sales Director, the Regional Sales Manager will oversee and drive sales for the Company’s wide portfolio of medical devices across an existing customer base in a designated territory with the expectation to rapidly progress new business and customer opportunities.
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans within the territory, building strong relationships with customers and colleagues, and achieving commercial success.
Key tasks and accountabilities associated with the role are as follows:
- Grow Revenues in both Rental and Capital product sales. The postholder will be expected to achieve and exceed KPIs/targets and contribute to significant growth and commercial success.
- Support existing customers with the delivery of onsite training, presentations, study days, organising trials and assisting with creative solutions to improve the provision of Bariatric care within their organisations. Develop strong partnership relationships with all current and potential customers.
- Plan and prioritise sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims and annual territory plans. Maximise efficiency and productivity, particularly to optimise customer facing activities within designated territory.
- Maintain own specialist product and technical knowledge. A high level of knowledge is required when partnering with specialists in Acute trusts, Community Trusts and Long-Term Care Facilities.
- Monitor and report on personal, customer, market and competitor activities and provide relevant forecasts, reports, and information as required directly or within a CRM system.
- Attend exhibitions and events in the UK and overseas. This will include preparatory work such as organising stand materials suitable for the event. Act as representative during events, managing the stand.
- Communicate effectively with the area team and support teams to ensure customer quotations, orders and enquiries are managed promptly, accurately, and consistently.
- Ensure own knowledge of company products is up to date.
- Share knowledge and expertise with all colleagues to contribute to the continued progression of the Company’s provision of excellence.
Applicants should possess suitable and relevant business education to include sales training, presentation and negotiation training and be able to evidence such training whilst undertaking daily activities.
It is essential applicants possess a demonstrable record of significant success in a commercial/sales customer facing role and possess a minimum of 2 years medical sales experience as well as significant knowledge and understanding of the medical sector in the UK and CRM/forecasting administrative experience. Applicants should also possess significant experience of selling into the NHS via Rental Service or Bariatric Care Equipment.
