Working within a team, you must have a strong engineering discipline and will need to be comfortable with both electrical and mechanical skills. The plant is currently undergoing investment and expansion. We are keen to speak to Shift Engineers who are forward-thinking, a team player, and most of all keen to learn, looking to break away from the continental shift pattern.
Role and Responsibilities of a Shift Engineer:
- PPM & Reactive maintenance
- Undertake machine start-up, working closely with the production and hygiene team.
- Machine adjustments to optimise machine performance.
- To undertake fault diagnosis & implement corrective actions to minimise machine downtime.
- To communicate machine status & performance across shift teams to ensure effective handovers.
- Look at CI methods and ways to improve plant performance.
Qualifications Required:
- Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent in electrical
- Mechanical experience/qualifications
- Engineering/Technical background
- Manufacturing industry experience
This is working a Panama shift pattern (2,2,3) on a mix of 12-hour days and nights. Salary is up to £55,000, pension, and excellent overtime with clear progression including MEWP, confined space, FLT, and further qualifications.
