Overview
We are working with a well established Heavy Industry/FMCG company based in the Pontefract area. They are looking for a lead electrical engineer to join them on a days-only basis.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus car allowance.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining excising plant and equipment and assisting with new installations on site.
- Respond to breakdowns efficiently in order to reduce machine downtime and increase production across site, minimising breakdowns through regular PPM's.
- Improving current systems on site including any technical documentation.
- Complying with all health & safety regulations and reviewing safety systems.
Job Requirements
- Technical knowledge and capability to handle the Electrical and Mechanical engineering activities of their plant.
- Apprentice trained in a relevant electrical engineering discipline.
- 18th edition wiring regulations.
- Experience with Power Distribution, Emergency Generators and UPS systems.
- Familiarity with Instrumentation and Process Controllers.
- Practical knowledge of PLCs, Motor Control and Variable Speed Drives.
- Experience, preferably in a 24/7 Production Environment.
- Working on a Call Out basis when required.
Qualifications
- Relevant electrical Qualifications - HNC/ONC/BTEC
- Apprentice Trained
- Experience in high prssure FMCG environment
- Qualified in 18 Edition BS7671 Electrical Regulations. - Advantageous
- H.V. Awareness Qualification. - Advantageous
- Siemens S5 and S7 experience. - Advantageous
